The actress stopped wearing makeup for this 🥺 reason.
Pamela Anderson regularly rocked pin-up style makeup in the ‘90s, but she’s taken on a more fresh-faced look lately that’s kind of everything.
The 56-year-old just casually dropped a makeup-free shot on Instagram, and she’s literally glowing.
The pic features Pamela clutching a flower while grinning broadly. Her freckles are clearly showing and her skin looks so fresh and clear.
“It’s never too late… to bloom 🤍,” she wrote in the caption.
Pamela is all about gardening—she recently dropped an impressive series of shots from her haul, along with video of herself planting:
And makeup-free shots have become a ~thing~ for Pamela, and she told Elle earlier this month that there’s a reason for that. Her makeup artist Alexis Vogel died in 2019 after a battle with breast cancer.
“She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,” Pamela said, noting that it’s “freeing, fun and a little rebellious” to ditch the makeup. (Worth noting: She does wear it sometimes—just not all the time.)
Of course, the Baywatch alum takes good care of her skin. She recently shared during a British Vogue “In The Bag” video that she loves Summer Fridays’ ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen.
“I should’ve used more sunscreen when I was little she said. “I counted my freckles the other day—I have, like, 137 just on my nose. Should’ve worn this.”
Pamela also shared in her “In The Bag” video that she likes Ilia’s Skin Serum Concealer with Vitamin C—it’s a skincare and makeup hybrid.
“It’s good,” Pamela said simply.
By the way, Pamela is all about hydrating her skin.
“Moisture is the best anti-aging trick,” she told Elle. “I use a humidifier in dry climates, and a healthy rose water spray is the perfect toner and pick-me-up. I keep mine in the fridge and use it every time I open the door.”
Her esthetician Klara Chrzuszcz told Elle that Pamela is “clean and consistent” about her skincare. That means doing weekly facials for cleansing and toning.
“Because she favors fresh skin over foundation, we focus on the most important aspects of skin maintenance: hydration, nourishment, and oxygenation to keep her skin plumped and healthy,” Chrzuszcz said.
Clearly, it’s working for her!
